I wonder if the clicking affects bass, especially on water that they
haven't or rarely hear it?
I am going to try my FF in a pond that I know has not had anyone running

a
FF in.
Those clicks are noticable.
Does anyone know of any articles regarding transducer clicking and if it
affects bass?
I doubt if there is anything out there but I am curious.

I've gone right over the top of bass with two locators running and gotten
them to bite, in less than two feet of water. Personally, I don't think

it
does have an effect. But I do know some guys that turn their locators off
"just in case", while they're fishing shallow water.

Not that I am anybody, by any stretch, but I agree with your assessment. I
use mine in shallow water all the time, with no noticable affect on the
fish. Some "white" papers that I've seen on it agree that either the bass
cannot "hear" it, or they can "hear" it and simply aren't bothered by it.
Given the noise that a basic Rat-L-Trap gives off, and fish bite them with
great regularity around here, I'd say that I agree. Doesn't seem that
rattling or clicking seem to bother them at all. YMMV.
