I doubt if there is anything out there but I am curious.

I'm pretty sure I remember an In-Fish piece 8 or 10 years back in which
it was among the subjects that Doug Hannon was concerned about. I
generally turn mine off when I'm flipping in the pads (but not in the
nut or matted over milfoil -- strange quirk on my part, I guess).
