Default Sundance skiffs

A buddy of mine has a Sundance F19 skiff with a Johnson 70. It's a very
stable boat. We have had 6 people standing one the same side and it only
shifted slightly, compared to some V bottom boats I have been in. If I
remember correctly the boat was not rated for an engine much larger than a
70, but it pushes it fine. The only problem I have with them is the
roughness of the ride in choppy water, where the boat jumps out and slaps
the water. I'm sure most skiff boats have this problem though. Also it
will "spray" you when cutting through waves, this is only a problem in cold
weather when you want to stay dry, but here in Georgia it feels good during
the hot summers! The only thing I would change on my buddy's boat is the
center console. The boat would have much more space if the controls were
place in the back corner. One major aspect I like about the boat is that it
is easy to clean up, because it has no carpet. This is just my experience
with the boat and I hope I have not misguided you (I like the boat as well
as any other I have fished in).
