It looks like you need a permit to access the area, but not a special


fishing permit. Is this true?

Hi Scott,

From looking at the card in my wallet, yes, the city is issuing a

"public access permit". It came with a tag to hang from the rear view
mirror for the car. You will also need a normal NYS fishing license.
