Here are some yellow sallies that I was playing around with last night.
They are size 16's. The last one has a swiss straw (treated with
Flexament) wing added as an afterthought over a body that's the same as
the first two. I don't know how it will cast or how durable it will be,
but I like the looks of it in the vise. (Yes, the head is messy; that's
what I get for not planning ahead.)
I'd appreciate comments (especially from the Nawth Cackalacky
i frankly have never had much luck with those winged caddis around here.
but you first two look great, imo. the first would do well as the air temps
rise into the eighties, and the second would be a fine small hopper pattern,
tied on size 10/12 hooks.
