I've seen some 18 foot aluminums that'll fly, I just rigged an Alumacraft
with a 150 Yamaha, and it's running 64 with no tweaking at all, so all I

can

determine, it's just a straighter boat.

Not that just sounds scary! 64mph in an aluminum boat?!?! WOW

I've seen a few of the high performance hull G3s that run 70+ in good
water. They do seem to have to back off with considerably less chop on
the water than a well set up glass boat, but other than that, they run
just about as well.
