In looking for information about the Huron Mountain Club, I found this very

My uncle's camp was located on the Huron River, just west of the Huron
Mountains and the western limit of the HMC holdings. I've often wondered if
one could drive from Skanee to Big Bay/Marquette. According to this page,
it looks like it would be possible, but only under the best conditions and
with a 4WD vehicle.

Man, wish I still had the deed to that camp...
