Winner-take all - The Islamorada Fishing Club's winner-take-all
summer dolphin tournament, set for Wednesday and Thursday, June 1-2, is
to award a guaranteed cash prize of $25,000 to the boat that brings the
highest total weight of three dolphin to the dock.
If all 30 entry positions are filled, the cash award is to be $30,000.
Entry fee is $2,150 per boat with a limit of two anglers per boat.

Big fish, big bucks - Big dolphin are worth big dollars during the 19th
annual Coconuts Dolphin Tournament, slated for Thursday though Sunday,
May 19-22.
Hosted by Coconuts Restaurant, Mile Marker 100, oceanside, in Key
Largo, the tournament is to offer guaranteed cash prizes totaling
$30,000, with $3,500 in cash to be awarded to the top anglers during
Friday's warm-up day and the remaining $26,500 to go to winning
anglers during the tournament Saturday and Sunday.
Top prize for the main tournament's overall winner, based on heaviest
fish, is to be $10,000. Cash prizes also are in store for the second-
through seventh-place anglers.
If the heaviest fish in the tournament breaks the standing record of
63.9 pounds, the angler also is to win a two-year lease of a 2005 Honda
CR-V 2WD valued at more than $10,000.

Single-day cash awards are to go to the top three anglers for Saturday
and Sunday catches. First place is worth $1,500 on each day.
Entry fee is $140 per adult angler and $50 per junior or social guest.

Tarpon Masters set - The Islamorada Tarpon Masters Tournament is
slated for Friday through Sunday, May 13-15, with fishing Saturday and
Sunday.
The tournament is to be open to men, women, juniors and guides.
Anglers can fish with live or dead bait, or artificial lures on
conventional or spin tackle. No chumming is allowed.
Entry fee is $350 per adult angler and $200 per junior angler. If
non-guided, a boat must have a minimum of two participating anglers for
catch and size certification.

Outback Fly set - The 12th annual Outback Steakhouse Golden Fly
Tarpon Tournament is slated for Sunday, May 22, through Wednesday, May
25.
Fly casters are to target tarpon weighing a minimum of 70 pounds, so
12-weight and heavier fly rods are expected to reign.
Anglers are restricted to fly-casting with artificial lures. Tippet
material up to 20-pound test is to be furnished at no cost by the
tournament. The material can be picked up at Worldwide Sportsman, MM
81.5 bayside in Islamorada. All anglers must use the supplied tippet
material.
Five weight fish per angler can be measured and entered for weight
points over the three days
Entry fee is $800 per angler. Proceeds are to benefit the Crohn's and
Colitis Foundation of America and college scholarships for Florida Keys
students.
