Kipper has passed all 10 elements of the CGC (Canine Good Citizen)
test. It's just that in three tries he didn't pass all 10 on the
same day. He's trained well enough to suit me and if he catches a
coon I'll congratulate him and tell him what a good hound dog he is.

Kipper is 70 pounds of Coon Hound - Husky mix, ... we think.
He's a shelter mutt rescued from the Champaign County Humane
Society as a 16 pound puppy.

Kipper has had both bear and skunk encounters. The bear made
off with Kipper's kibble but she ran away from Kipper not the
other way around. As for the skunk, Kipper figured out just
exactly when, in the dark of night, to get the hell out of
Dodge. The whole area smelled of skunk as Kipper came back
to the campfire wearing a ****-eating grin and smelling no
worse for the wear.

He has hybrid vigor. He's a real dog, not like those overbred,
half-senseless, dimwitted pure breeds you spend a ridiculous
fortune to have specially bred for lethargy and compliance.
