Default Southern Classic and hello...

There was an article in Bassmaster about two months ago featuring jerkbaits
and how some suspend perfectly right from the box while others don't. it
mentioned the storm suspend dots and some type of line that fly fisherman
use, can't remember the name of it, I'll have to look, either way with the
water temps the way they are right now, suspending jerkbaits are the way to
go in my opinion, don't think I'll be tying on any that cost 17 bucks, but
you never know, Yesterday I went to the mailbox and received an e-bay item I
won. I started using my smoking money that I have saved since I quit for
purchasing antique/vintage lures. Well I get this jointed frog lure from
the 50's, didn't pay much maybe 12.00 total and I am driving past the lake,
I have a rod but no hooks, lures worms etc. Hmm jointed frog lure.. tie it on
and cast it out, great action, second cast got me a little 14 inch pickerel,
I decided that it might not be smart to keep casting it.. : )

Already have a date, maybe next time handsome! I wasn't happy with the

way
the Lucky Craft Live Pointer worked. The swim part of the action was ok,
but on the pause it's tail immediately pointed down. I want my jerkbaits

to
suspend horizontally, not vertically. I'm gonna add some weight to the

head
part, hopefully that'll balance things out a bit...
