Yeah I was afraid of the prices. $109 for something he will grow out of

a few months is questionable, but may be worth it to at least get him
hooked....


Mike, I've had my kids learn the intricacies of wet wading. On camping
trips I always bring an extra pair of sneakers for them to use as wading
shoes.

I've tried to keep up with them with XC ski boots, and it isn't easy- or
cheap! But those are more readily available second-hand than kid sized
waders would be.

I would agree except the water this time of year is around 50 degrees and
think I would be a bit negligent to let them wade. Not that I'm the model
Dad or anything, but just don't think they would go for it, at least very
long. For warm water fishing that would be easier anyway as I do that
myself.

The water must be cold up their around the great lakes, do the kids go in
the cold water without complaint?
