In Doug Swisher's book about backcountry fishing in Florida he mentions a
tying
material called Tasmanian Devil that he uses in white shrimp patterns. He
suggests lambs wool as a substitute, but I'm trying to figure out what the
original is.

Anybody know?

This?

Good to hear from you Kevin.

That is the animal, but I suspect the long white hairs I'm seeing in the
pictures of the fly are of some other origin. My guess is it's a particular
type of craft fur.

Thanks,

Chas
