In Doug Swisher's book about backcountry fishing in Florida he mentions a tying
material called Tasmanian Devil that he uses in white shrimp patterns. He
suggests lambs wool as a substitute, but I'm trying to figure out what the
original is.

Anybody know?

Thanks

It's good to know lamb's wool is recommended sub. The material he is
talking about is some
sort of long-fibred synthetic but I've not seen it for sale here.

The Tassie Devil material in Aust. Best Trout Flys ... I'll dig it out
over the weekend (time for the library
to come out of boxes again anyway)
