In New Zealand (was there last month) the locals blame the demise
of many flightless NZ birds on:
a) stoats (weasels) who kill and eat the birds
b) and on what they refer to as 'Australian Opposums' that
'eat the bird eggs' Kiwis wish they could be renamed as
"squashems"
