Actually, for high desert fishing in the Southwest I recommend
New Mexico. Sedona was just too crystal, vortex, New Age, pink
jeep, cute and crowded for my taste. I don't like to vacation
where traffic jams are commonplace. It was nice enough but we
won't be going back. Taos, New Mexico, on the other hand ...
well, never mind ... there are no trout around Taos. ;-)
