Er ... I think you missed his point. He was making fun of *you*
calling us out because we were being smartasses.
Yeah, but he called *you* a dumbass yuppie beer snob, and he
complimented me.
The irony-meters were pegging all across ROFF on that one.
Actually, for high desert fishing in the Southwest I recommend
New Mexico. Sedona was just too crystal, vortex, New Age, pink
jeep, cute and crowded for my taste. I don't like to vacation
where traffic jams are commonplace. It was nice enough but we
won't be going back.
I can't really disagree with you on the vortex, etc. I was
talking with some of the locals, and it's gotten so expensive to live
there that the "real" Sedona residents have been driven out by the
damyankee Birky-wearing, sprout-eating, wine-drinking snobs.
But then again, for me Sedona is really just a jumping-off-place
for exploring the area.
Last time I checked, the Flagstaff, Prescott, and Prescott Valley areas
are still affordable, although Prescott is getting up there. Sedona and
the immediate areas are high, but if you have money, whatever you buy,
property wise, becomes a decent investment.
