That was an AWESOME day Rich!

Yesterday was about as perfect as prespawn fishing day can be. Temps in
the mid 60s, water temps in the low 50s. Heavy cloud cover and an
intermittent drizzle (more drizzle than not, but nothing like the
torrential rains that the weather idiots had been calling for) and just
enough of a breeze that you could say it wasn't dead calm.
My buddy Jim & I went to Mudge. It's Jim's favorite lake, and next to
Champlain, it's mine, too. So where else would we go in a little boat?
We caught 40 some odd fish -- about half on the drop shot, a couple on a
grub, 8 on a jerkbait and 10 on a jig & trailer.
The highlight of the day was jim's 14 pounds in 3 casts with the jig.

That's a 2, a 7 and a 5 on consecutive casts. There were only 3 other
boats out there all day, and none of them fished for more than a couple
hours.
