I'm new to fly-fishing and working on casting distance and accuracy. My
question is how far can I reasonably expect to cast WF 5 F line with a 8 1/2
ft. mid flex rod. Right now I'm maxing out at about 50 to 55 ft., how much
distance is a set-up like this capable of for an average caster ?????

Also.....strike indicators......I seem to recall that they should be set to
about 2 1/2 times the average depth to which they are fished......does this
sound right ?????
