quite the contrary brad, i love patoka! i say lucky, cause i have to
live up here in michigan.

thanks for the advice, i'll be in heaven if i get to see a few hit
topwater lures. and i'll have my usual ton of 6" lizards.

Patoka has LOTS of grassbeds and lots of wood in the coves and up the rivers.
Fish should be post spawn and about everywhere in the lake, so the grassbeds
near spawning areas should hold some fish. There are several places in the
lake where grassbeds come up against deep drops.

Topwaters, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, super flukes and supershallow cranks in
shad patterns should do well.

Plastics work well in watermelons, purple/green flake and pumpkin/green flake.
