Bait fishing with the flyrod? ...maybe it's similar to the
contrarian concept...like the Sioux warriors in Black Elk
speaks who did everything backwards.




Actually fishing porkrind frogs in the weeds with a flyrod is a very revered
old "down jersey" tactic for Eastern Chain Pickerel. And for years the
record came from NJ.

Also, fishing a tiny porkrind minnow, wet with one very small split shot,
is a very effective way to dredge plate-sized "Calico Bass" (Crappies) in
deep heavy structure (pilings, sunken forest etc..)
