So far, my plans are to be there. I think Joe mentioned bringing someone with him, so I've got to
talk Dave into riding up with me. Whatcha say Dave?
How about a little information about the structure of the lake Steve? Is it shallow like Boom? Any
trouble for Jerry this year? How's running on that lake? You know I'm a sissy in shallow water...
The lake is, as I said, very similar to Boom Lake, only not as nice. There are places that I don't
even run on plane.
It has shallow stump fields, it has rocky points and gravel bars, it has downed timber and expansive
weedbeds. In short, it has a little bit of everything. Roughly 1,800 acres in size, part of the
water is very river-like, the other part is pretty wide open with a few islands. There are channels
into other bodies of water, and all sorts of stuff to fish.
There's also stuff to run up on if you're not careful. I would suggest that boaters attending pick
up a Fishing HotSpots map of Lake Mohawksin and I'll mark it with permanent marker to let you know
where the dangerous spots are that I know of.
