Newsgroup,
After moving to the lower 48 several years ago I've decided to shake the
dust off my flyfishig gear. I am looking for a place to fish in northern
Georgia. I would prefer a stream with camping in the local area and I
don't mind walking. Can anyone in this group give this misplaced Alaskan
a tip?

I;ve been gone from Ga since 1998, but Charlie Choc a frequent contributor
is still in Atlanta.

Coopers Creek, The Chattooga, Noontoola, and the upper chattahoochee all
come to mind as streams with some camping streamside (for the most part no
facilities tho). But if you really don't mind walking into a wilderness area
and primitive camping then the Jacks and Coanasauga rivers in the Blue Ridge
WMA are for you. Just get used to something much smaller than those Alaskan
brutes you cut your teeth on.
