Easy Perfection Loop
Roo,
If you thought the discussion was valuable to rec.outdoors.fishing,
why not copy and post the entire thread from the other group so we can
all benefit?
There is a reason that cross posting is looked down upon, and this
would be the reason. If I cared about the discussion going on in
rec.crafts.knots, I would read rec.crafts.knots.
I read your first post (which does not mention rec.crafts.knots) and
had the same thought as PB - what does this have to do with fishing?

Fuss? No fuss. I offer no (positive) claims about the loop in
question. In fact, I'm not especially fond of it, as I mentioned in
my original post. The Perfection Loop has come up in discussion at
rec.crafts.knots and I thought that I'd share an overlooked method of
tying for those who are interested for whatever reason. For some, it
may just be academic. For others, they might have an application for
which they occasionally use the loop. I know a few anglers use it in
some line so I included rec.outdoors.fishing in addition to
rec.crafts.knots.

Why all of this fuss about the perfection loop? I have read that it tests
poorly and that there are a number of different loops that test to be much
stronger..one being the non-slip loop. Does anyone have any test results to
show differently?
