I have a 3 and a 4. The 4 never gave me any trouble, but the 3 was (is) a
bad line twister when I used 6# and 8#, but is OK with 4#. These things, I
believe, have somewhat of a cult following, but I'm happier with a newer
reel that has silent anti-reverse.
