Default Thoughts on Penns and raffle photos

Got back last night after wandering around PA and then NYC. It occurs to
me (in no particular order):

- that the best thing about claves--not to get all maudlin or
anything--really IS the people. It was good to meet some more roffians
for the first time.... and to see some others once again. Particularly
good to see Stan up and about and catching fish.....

- that it's easy to forget how beautiful rural PA can be and nice to be
reminded.

- that seeing a blizzard-like coffin fly hatch is a truly memorable thing
to have done, but that next time around I'd like to hit some hatches that
maybe come on earlier and last longer.

- that even on streams famous for selective fish and confusing, multiple
simultaneous hatches, even a mediocre flyfisher can muddle through by
fishing sparkle duns and comparaduns in a variety of sizes, colors and
shades, and by dropping a small PT from the bend of whatever dry he has
on.

- that it's worth the money to rent a 4x4 instead of a POS sedan.

- that I'm very glad I had ear plugs and could sleep through the
outrageous barley-stew-induced fartfest the other guys say was going
on......

Turns out the only photos I took were of the raffle:

Many thanks to Tom and Mike for arranging everything and to John and Frank
for the Jambalaya and the stew.....

Was a good time. Wish I'd had a chance to fish with more people......
