I suggest looking for light weight if you're planning to pack your float
tube in the backcountry. The "V" shaped boats are the best design, IMO,
but with one exception: if you're using the tube to assist in wading
over mud and weeds the donut shaped tubes are better.

I have a Wood River V-tube I really like, but I think I read here on
ROFF that they've gone out of business. Buck's Bags also makes high
quality tubes and pontoon boats.
