| Ok here goes, me and my husband were fishing on the bridgewater canal
| and for a change my hubby decided to try bread to see if he could catch
| the bigger fish. now after about 2 hours lo and behold he got one after
| many crafty little fish nicking the bread off the line before he got a
| chance to do anything about it. he struck on the biggest fish i have
| seen in this particular canal but we were not properly prepared and
| didnt have a landing net with us we shouted down the bank to another
| fisherman we know but before he could get to us the crafty blighter got
| off, my husband was so gutted as like me he is pretty much a novice and
| to have caught a big catch would have made his year.... so down to my
| question what i need to know is how good is tiger nut mix and what
| method would you lot of lovely experts use to attach the bread on the
| line as my husband and i just squash the bread onto the linejust above
| the hook and hope for the best is this right??? any help would be as
| always most appreciated. xxx

Bread is only good for SunFish, some Perch and Carp.

Regular worms, nightcrwlers and live lining bait fish are your better baits.
You can also add to that; grasshoppers, mealworms and leeches.
