East Texas Fishing Report for the week of 6-20-05
NACOGDOCHES - Lake Nacogdoches is at normal level and clear. Water
temps are in the upper 80s.
Bass
fishing has been fair to about four pounds on Flukes and wacky worms
twitched around lily pads and shallow grass beds. A few fish also
taking shad pattern topwaters, but most are small. Bass have been most
active early in the day and at night.
Twilight crappie anglers
are using live shiners and lights to pull in a few keepers. Best bite
has been along creek channel breaks, powerline pilings and brush in
12-22 feet of water.
FORK - Lake Fork is about a foot low and clear. Water temp is 88
degrees.
