Mandarin anglers win TECO benefit
By Greg WalkerSam
Folds and Todd Mowery of Mandarin took the Fourth Annual Tampa Electric
Company (TECO) bass tournament Saturday at Crystal Cove Marina with an
eight-fish limit weighing 31.38 pounds and claimed the $5,000 top
prize. Their creel included the second-largest fish of the tournament
that tipped the scales at 7.82 pounds, and added another $380 to their
winnings.
Runnersup
L.E. and Preston Clark made it a close race, coming in just under two
pounds behind the leaders with 29.51 pounds, collecting a check for
$2,000.
The benefit set an attendance record, launching 95 boats Saturday
morning at safe light, beating its first year number of 83.
