The guy at MRFC in Ennis writes excellent reports.

I'm pretty sure the river's been right around 1200 cfs whenever I've
been there and it's apprx 2600 now. There's three of us coming with
two pickups and one boat and I'm trying to talk Bevin into bringing a
second boat...

From another source. Sounds like a good time for the pontoon boat. Watch
those bridges!:
Lyons Bridge-Ennis: 6/21/05

Floating below Lyons has been sketchy, as the bridges between Lyons and
Palisades can not be safely passed under in most drift boats. Once flows
drop below 2200 CFS, the float will be safer. Below Palisades the river is
clear down to McAtee, but fishing has been difficult due to the tremendous
flows. Most of the fish in the "float section" are getting a nice break for
the moment and fattening up for the rest of the summer. Fishing should be
excellent when the river drops.
