| In my situation there are *best* times and they are governed by multiple environmental
| factors.
|
| First is that sunrise and sunset are the best times fresh or slat water.
|
| Second concerned surf fishing. 2hrs. before the high tide and an hour after. For
| example, high tide will be around 1220 this afternoon. The wind is coming off the land
| and coming from the west. I'll fish at around 1030AM or so and when the high tide peaks
| the wind will shift and come from the south. I'll stop then if the water has white caps
| and/or if the wind is too strong.
|
| Finally there is a Full Moon.
|
| Midday fishing is NOT the best in lakes because the near shore temperature increases and
| the fish want cooler, more oxygenated water. This means deeper water. Colder water
| holds more oxygen that warmer water.
|
| When I have a session and they are not bighting I do a count down. I'll say I'll do 3
| more casts. If I get a hit or a fish, the counts gets reset.
|
| Tight Lines !
