it was open ocean 38 Miles offshore. He has 1.5 miles of visibility, plus he
should have had a radar target. I am not worried that he could not avoid me,
but he didn't even sound any type of signal that a crash was imminent

I understand your concern. I not familiar with your area but I do fish
several areas where large ships pass. Big ships being less maneuverable
usually have the right away in my book. Compared to where you where and
where he was coming, how wide is the shipping channel?

I sit possible he did not see you? Even though they are suppose to look
out
many of these large ships rely on sutopolit to steer through known
shipping
channels.
