I have never heard of any caught from shore but that doesn't mean it
can't happen. I did read about some babies caught from a 1000' fishing
pier.

Hi, As A newbie to king mackerel Shore Fishing, what would be the best
bait, also what would be the best way to present the bait on a single
treble hook?
TIA
Live pogies, through the lip of the bait. If no live bait, dead cigar
minnows. Not often caught from shore.
It's been done off St. Augustine beach. Guys with boats troll for kingfish
anywhere from 100' to a quarter mile off the beach there, from St.
Augustine inlet to the fishing pier, and they catch them when they are
running. Along with the occasional tarpon. There are some really strong
surfcaster who can get a bait out there, along with a spiked sinker. But
it doesn't happen often.
I have read many articles indicating thebest ways to catch king makerel from
shore, but no way im a super caster so bit worried now, hehe, if i cant
catch king makerel, what is a common catch from carribean shore, beach
casting and spinning
