We had a similar problem with ours, but we managed to get over it with the
help of a dummy launcher and a local river. She's only 2 years old though,
I'm not sure if it would work with a 6 year old!

Thanks for the comments Bill, I'll make the spelling change when I next
update the site - it won't be long as there are at least 2 sets of

reports
outstanding once I've managed to get them off Brian.

That's a grand dog you have by the way.

John

Hi John,

Yes my Labrador is lovely (he's 6 years old now) - pity that he doesn't
like to swim :-(

He loves water but once he can't feel the bottom he gets out of it. !!

Regards,

I waded our local river with him on a lead - I coaxed him and he swam
across. I took him off the lead and waded back, he swam solo and I
thought he would then be fine. I tried the same thing the following day
- without a lead and he didn't want to know :-(
