Forty's dates are as good as any. I have to convince my various bosses
that both flying to Utah to run the St. George marathon on October 1st
*AND* spending several days fishing with ruffians are both mortal
necessities.

Steve,
When you get to St. George (don't know why anyone would want to go there
:-)), take your bamboo with you. There is no fishing in the Virgin River
(well, except for a few par-boiled white fish), but Kolob Resevoir is
awesome. There is also Quail Creek Resevoir, but I recommend Kolob. 22
miles up the road from Virgin, UT, you can easily be the only one on the
lake on any given weekday. 24 inch cuts suckin' at the bugs right along the
shore. Try the north side of the lake where the creek comes in. A float
tub is ideal if you can bring it with. Good way to relax after a big run.
Oh, by the way, bring your big crawdad patterns.
