The week before I went out piking with plugs and spinners and blanked
twice!!

Last season I was surface fishing for carp (as a few were cruising about)
using a piece of plastic maize. A carp picked it up and very promptly spat
it out, and as I wound in a jack pike took it ...... and hung on to it.
