My travels uncovered this 2000 Washington Department of Fish And Wildlife
study of Horseshoe Lake's fish species before weed growth treatment was
performed.
It was interesting to me for a number of reasons. One was the comparison of
bass sizes found with bass sizes in other Western US water bodies. Another
reason it was interesting was they plan on dumping ALUM to precipitate out
algae and third they proposed planting Tiger Muskies to "control" non-game
fish. Another interesting reason was their intent in order to "enhance" the
panfish fishery, they were going to diddle with bass slot linits, creel
limits and who knows what else.
I'm sure to read it in more depth. Thought this board would be interested.
Good luck!
