You bet. Crazy time now for me with house **** catchup etc, back east family
stuff etc, and Im getting mighty tired of not fishing sooooooo... October
sounds good to me. I did just catch some fat E.Chain Pickeral out of an
unspoiled pond near Davison's Mill (hint for you New Jersey Dogs) but thats
my summer so far.

Doesn't seem many folks from our side of the mountains are going to be
making it to the U.P. or to N. Cackalacky, so.....

I am planning to be camping somewhere around Maupin on the Deschutes for
four days sometime in mid-October (I'm thinking 12-15, but could change
that to 19-22 if necessary). Any PNW roffians who would like to accrete
in pearly luster around my gritty presence for part or all of that time
would be more than welcome.....

In mid-October, both steelhead and trout fishing are in fine shape, the
splash-n-giggle crowd has all but disappeared, and it usually isn't too
cold yet to enjoy the early mornings and evenings. One can argue that the
steelhead fishing might be better then somewhat higher upriver, but Maupin
affords motel/lodge/cabin accommodations for those who don't want to camp,
not to mention better dining options.....

Any interest?
