I was running a 21" Stainless 4 blade on my Ranger 17' fisherman (680 C).
and I was slow out of the hole and topping out at about 5200 RPM with a load
(Yamaha 115). I took the prop in for service after I tapped a rockpile and
put a slight bend in one blade and while it was in I had the shop knock 1
inch off the pitch. Now I'm out of the hole in a couple of seconds and my
top end redlines at 5500-5600 and I gained about 2 to 3 mph top end (50 MPH
on GPS with 2 guys and equipt). Maybe you just need a pitch adjustment. It
only took a couple of days for a local shop here in NJ to finish it and it
looks and performs like a new prop. I think the company was called Atlantic
Prop in Edison NJ.

I'm currently running a stainless 13 1/4 x 21 on my underpowered motor for
my boat. Have been told to try a 19 pitch, can't find one anywhere local
and want one. Don't want an aluminum either. Anyone have one for me?
