Does the Df&G recommend that you eat what you catch? I would think that
bottom crawlers would be more contaminated than fish, and they have
recommendations about how much you eat, or don't eat

I was wondering if it is worth trying to fish for crabs
and lobster from a sailboat in Southern California.
According to the fishing regulations, traps are legal
for crabs and hoop nets for lobsters.

- Is there anything else legal to catch lobster?

- Which crab species can be caught around here, and
which of these are good to eat?

- How is the chance of ever catching a lobster with
a hoop net? Has anyone experience doing this?

- Are there shrimp / prawns etc. worth going after?
What are the traps and regulations for these?

Thanks for any advice,

Chris
