I didn't get to pre-fish, or fish on day 1, so I spent the day running
around the lake just trying to find something that resembled a pattern,
especially with the bite the way it was on day 1. My first stop offered
me 3 legal fish, but unfortunately I only accepted one of them, and the
lake got to keep the other two for reasons that just go beyond
explanation.
I also want to thank the train tressel near the launch for consuming 3 of
my "NO SNAG" sinkers. It sucks when you are drop shotting, and set the
hook on a fish to find the weight snagged, and the fish gets off (another
story).
It was a great lake to fish, and just wish I could have had one day of
practice, but it made it the ultimate challenge, and it was fun.
My 2nd legal came on a white swim jig around some wood right off the main
channel which seemed to have the same characteristics as my first spot,
but as you can see by my final weight the pattern didn't hold up.
That is the way she goes, it was nice seeing everyone that made it, and I
hope I get to talk to you all soon.
Hey Chris, you did one heck of a job. I'm glad that you didn't have both
days to fish, or be able to pre-fish, or you would have certainly taken me
out of 2nd place!
You're welcome to fish with me any day.
