Well, once again, the Northwoods Classic is in the books.

After Day One, it was a typical, TOUGH bite. With 12 anglers fishing,
only 4 people weighed in fish. Other anglers that I talked to were
complaining of "No Fish" and the local bait shops were reporting no
smallmouth activity either.

4:00 came all too soon and the fish were weighed.

Kevin was the leader, with 2 fish weighing 24lbs. 2 oz.

Second Place was me, with one fish weighing 1 lb. 11 oz.

Joe H. had third nailed down with a whopping 1 lb. 9 oz.

And Gary Wilbur had 4th with 1 lb. 6 oz.

Day Two dawned clear with warming temps. Everyone has left for the night,
the fun is over and I'm too tired to get into all the details, but here's
how things shook out.

Tied for 8th Place we

Brandon (Inky), Brion, Pat, Moe, Doc and Gil

7th Place - Terry 1 lb. 5 oz. (1 fish)

6th Place - Joe H 1 lb. 9 oz.(1 fish)

5th Place - Ronnie 2 lb. 8 oz.(1 fish)

4th Place - Chris Rennert 3 lb. 15 oz. (2 fish)

3rd Place - Kevin 4 lb. 2 oz. (2 fish)

2nd Place - Steve 5 lb. 14 oz. (3 fish)

1st. Place - Gary Wilber 13 lb. 2 oz. (6 fish) The first limit of bass
caught in the history of the NWC, Gary brought in 11 lb. 12 oz today.

Gary made a clean sweep, taking first place, Big Bass and he caught a 36
inch muskie for Big Non Bass Honors on Day One of the Tourney.

For you guys that didn't make it, you missed a fun tourney. We worked for
some fish, a lot of muskies were caught and a good time was had. We
laughed a lot, swapped true stories and I'm already looking forward to
next year!

I'll fill in the details later, but you really need to consider making
time to come next year.
