OK, I asked about this about a year ago with no takers. I'm a
mechanical kinda guy, and I always have to figure out the mechanics of
how things work.

Well, you know. I thouht about that too, and I think you are right. Its
just something that makes such a difference in loops tangles and snarls on
spinning tackle that we tend to just lump it all together.
