Default Going to KY...Cave Run Lake

I am driving my Father and Mother-in-law from south Georgia to Morehead, KY
for the Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival next week. I will be flying back
but not before he and I spend a day on Cave Run Lake with a guide.

Now, we fish largemouth and specks down here and have never ever seen a
muskie. Up there they are muskie nuts, so I found only one guide for
multi-species fishing. He says that we will spend a hard day fishing for
smallmouth and will probably get a few bites. I realize this is a hard time
of the year to catch bass, but bass are all we know. Therefore, I ask you
guys, will we have a better chance at some good catches if we throw for the
muskie?

Your responses are appreciated.

Regards,

James

Ah yes.... We've never fished for smallmouth either.
