No problem, Jeff. I know that you didn't mean to be offensive.

I'm interested in discovering great fishing trips that don't break the
bank. Two of the most costly things are guides and luxurious
accommodations. I can always do without the latter, and I prefer to do
without the former if possible. I'll pay for access before I pay for
comfort, and there's a degree of satisfaction in figuring it out for
yourself, but maybe the best advantage I've found in ROFF is getting to
know people who know what they're doing and are more than willing to
help -- viz. Chas and Andy on the Kanektok. Also Warren and Bruce and
Willi and many other ROFF people who have given me fishing lessons over
the years.

For those who like the comforts of a lodge or a catered float trip or
guides, go for it. You have my good wishes and encouragement. For those
who will tolerate more risk and discomfort and uncertainty, and who are
(let's face it) cheap, I'm with you guys.
