I agree.

Spot your big fish first - making sure he can't spot you. Then drop the
right fly, very very delicately, and with enough slack in the leader to
ensure there's no possiblity of him seeing it drag, just in front of
him.

Simple!

(Of course it isn't. That's why I keep fishing)
