Howdy folks,

Been a few years since I've fished the Smokies area this time of year,
mainly spring and summer. Any input on what dries to fish? I'm taking a
long a decent supply of ants, BWOs and tiny things--plus some
terrestrials. And, of course, the usual nymphs. Just looking for that
special bug I may be overlooking. I'm staying on the Townsend side, mainly
fishing in the park.

Thanks,
Jack Kerley

I'd say keep it small. Also depends a lot on the stream. In some places the
closer you can get to a niblet the better, but in some others you need a
light cahill or elk hair caddis or adams that's so small that a spider web
will be a hazard.
