I tie a Lot of Sparkle Duns and some other ties that require precise
handling of small amounts of deer hair ( I use SD's down to 22s )

Have you experimented with using something other than hair for those
small SDs?

I've tried Needloft brand plastic canvas yarn, which seems to work
pretty well. I get it at Walmart.
