Ya just gotta love the good folks at Snopes!

A couple of weeks ago Becky got an email to which was attached a series of
photos purporting to show various severe weather phenomena along the front
of Katrina as it came in to the Gulf Coast. She forwarded the whole package
to me. Awesome photos! I thought about offering to forward it to anyone on
ROFF who might be interested.....but never got around to it. Just now while
poking around in Snopes, I found this:
