I had a little mishap last evening while fishing. I was taking off a fish

from
a triple treble minnow plug. I had my pliers on the trailing hook trying

to
remove it by a backward push. The fish suddenly thrashed and the middle

treble
hook went right through the finger near the knuckle. I managed to free the
fish. I had rapala pliers so i managed to release the treble from the lure

via
the split ring option on the pliers. The pliers weren't sufficient to cut

the
hook at the barb.
I managed to get to the doctor to get hook removed.
This is going to happen again. Thinking of taking my bolt cutters and look

for
a gripper to better secure the fish.I would use the bolt cutters if i

could
safely remove the hook. It is possible to jack your hand by doing nerve

damage.
A muskie lad told me he didn't like grippers since the put your hand close

to
the trebles.
